ReArch Construction is pleased to welcome Katie Mason to the team as MEP Manager. In this role, Katie will provide leadership and technical expertise for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout all phases of construction, supporting project teams from preconstruction and design through construction, commissioning, and post-occupancy.
Katie brings 14 years of experience in building commissioning, retrocommissioning, energy auditing, and owner’s project management. Her extensive technical background and collaborative approach will strengthen ReArch’s ability to identify potential challenges early, improve coordination between building systems, and ensure those systems perform as intended.
Prior to joining ReArch, Katie served as a Senior Associate with a local engineering firm in Burlington, Vermont, where she led commissioning efforts for complex commercial, healthcare, higher education, and hospitality facilities throughout New England. Her experience includes projects for BETA Technologies, the University of Vermont, UVM Medical Center, Wake Robin, and L.L.Bean.
For Katie, joining ReArch is also a return to where her career began. From 2010 to 2012, she worked at ReArch as a Project Administrator, supporting the company’s Construction Management, Design-Build, Development, and Property Management teams. She returns with more than a decade of additional technical experience and a deep understanding of building systems, sustainable design, and commissioning.
As MEP Manager, Katie will work closely with owners, design teams, project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to support MEP coordination and system performance. Her involvement early in the project lifecycle will help teams evaluate constructability, identify potential conflicts, and make informed decisions before work reaches the field.
Katie earned a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont and is a Certified Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), Engineer Intern (EI), and LEED Accredited Professional in Operations + Maintenance (LEED AP O+M). She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Vermont Green Building Network.
