Project Description:
The Seventh Generation workplace fit-up at Tech Park in South Burlington, Vermont, transformed approximately 18,000 SF of existing commercial space into a modern environment supporting office, laboratory, and product testing functions. Delivered through a design-build approach, the project required close coordination to meet the company’s sustainability goals and science-driven operations.
The design balances durability and warmth, featuring open layouts, updated finishes, and integrated casework. Natural light, color, and graphics enhance the workplace experience, while specialized areas—including chemistry labs, packaging labs, and long-term testing spaces—support a range of research activities.
To ensure uninterrupted operations, the project included a backup generator and coordinated mechanical and electrical upgrades to protect sensitive equipment and ongoing testing processes.
Completed in under four months, the project involved selective demolition, new construction, and extensive reuse of existing materials, aligning with sustainability objectives. The result is a functional, efficient workplace tailored to Seventh Generation’s evolving needs.
