Project Description:
Windham & Windsor Housing Trust and Evernorth Property hired ReArch Company as the general contractor for the new construction of Alice Holway, a mixed-income, multi-unit housing project currently underway in Putney, VT.
The 25,721 SF project comprises two buildings, providing 25 apartments, including one—and two-bedroom units. Five of these units will be designated for households at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. The three-story East Building includes 13 units, and the two-story West Building consists of eight units (flats and townhouses). Three apartments will be accessible.
The complex will be built to passive house requirements and includes:
- Ground loop geothermal heat pump system for space conditioning and hot water
- Triple-glazed windows
- Energy recovery ventilation
- Rooftop PV
The property is served by municipal water and sewer. The site work includes new water and sewer extensions to the municipal water mains and improvements to the existing sewer pump station.
The Alice Holway project is expected to be completed in 2026.
