Senior Project Accountant & AP Manager
Overview
As Senior Project Accountant and AP Manager, Jessica leads the accounts payable function and oversees financial operations related to project accounting. She ensures the accurate and timely processing of payables, maintains vendor compliance with company policies, and supports the integrity of financial reporting. Jess collaborates closely with the construction management team to monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage payment schedules, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and internal controls. She also manages vendor relationships, ensuring that certificates of insurance, lien waivers, and required job site postings are current and compliant across all active projects.
Experience
Prior to joining ReArch Company, Jessica worked for 10 years as a business administrator, where she supervised the accounting clerk in day-to-day AP, AR, Cash Deposits, and Payable Entry, as well as handled benefit management and weekly payroll. She also handled customer service duties and greeted walk-in customers.
Education
Jessica earned her A.S. in Accounting from the Community College of Vermont.
Background
Jess was born and raised in Vermont, and after a quick five-year stint in Southern California, she found her way back home to the Green Mountain State where she has been since 2005. With 3 boys under the age of 5 at home, you can generally find her racing monster trucks, organizing dinosaurs by shape and size, or throwing a ball around in some fashion. When she’s not chasing toddlers or refereeing wrestling matches, she enjoys playing cards, learning new board games, trying new restaurants, and getting outside as much as possible; walking, hiking, playing cornhole, or just sitting and watching the sunset.
