Project Description:
ReArch was hired to renovate and expand 350 Tilley Drive in South Burlington, VT, to accommodate the University of Vermont Medical Center’s consolidation of its outpatient ophthalmology and dermatology practices, two of the busiest specialty practices in the area. The new location optimizes space and resources while offering patients easier access to car or public transportation, including a free shuttle from downtown Burlington.
The construction of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility features a 2-story structural steel frame with light-gauge metal-framed bearing walls at the perimeter, supported by a robust concrete foundation. The facility is designed to meet the highest standards of modern medical care, providing dedicated spaces for a variety of specialized medical services.
Key Features:
- Exam/Procedure Rooms: The facility will include 95+ fully equipped exam and procedure rooms, designed to accommodate a wide range of medical services and ensure a smooth workflow for patients and healthcare providers.
- Specialty Ophthalmology Rooms: The facility will feature specialized rooms tailored for ophthalmology, including laser procedure rooms, testing rooms, laboratory space, and clean storage to support precise and advanced eye care treatments.
The Ophthalmology Department opened its doors at its new location in the spring of 2025.
