Vice President of Preconstruction
Overview
As Vice President of Preconstruction at ReArch, Kurt provides leadership and direction for preconstruction project development across the region. He serves as a primary point of contact for clients during early project phases, fostering collaboration, aligning stakeholders, and guiding teams from concept through completion. Kurt brings a practical, solutions-driven approach to preconstruction, with a focus on cost certainty, constructability, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
With a background in business development and project management, Kurt works closely with estimating and project teams to ensure scope, budget, and client goals are clearly defined and executed. He is committed to building strong partnerships and creating a seamless, transparent preconstruction process for every project.
Experience
Prior to joining ReArch Company, Kurt held leadership roles overseeing preconstruction and estimating efforts across a wide range of project types. He led teams responsible for early conceptual budgeting through guaranteed maximum price development, with expertise in value engineering, constructability analysis, and construction systems planning.
Throughout his career, Kurt has worked closely with owners, designers, and project teams to navigate complex challenges, manage risk, and deliver well-informed solutions. He is recognized for his collaborative approach and ability to guide projects from initial concept through successful completion.
In addition to his project work, Kurt is an active contributor to Vermont’s construction and development community. He regularly speaks at industry conferences, public forums, and legislative sessions on topics including construction costs, housing, and infrastructure. In 2025, he was recognized as a Vermont Business Magazine Rising Star.
Education
Kurt earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Background
Kurt lives in Essex Junction, Vermont, with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he is actively involved in his community as a youth sports coach, supporting soccer, baseball, and skiing. He is also a strong advocate for careers in construction and frequently speaks with students about opportunities in the industry.
